What is KeepSafe®?
Whether protecting people and property from Mother Nature or man-made threats, KeepSafe® glass, featuring Saflex interlayer technology, brings strength and security to laminated glazing applications.
In safety applications, KeepSafe glass can protect people from injury due to accidental glass impact, breakage, or falling glass shards. In proper configurations, it also provides protection from windborne debris in areas prone to hurricanes and other natural disasters.
Laminated glass is also highly resistant to the dynamic racking motions of an earthquake, helping maintain the integrity of the building envelope and prevent injury and damage from glass fallout.
For security applications, KeepSafe glass can provide significant protection over monolithic glass products in resisting man-made threats like forced entry, blast, and ballistic applications.
KeepSafe glass provides additional benefits to window systems, including sound control and reduced the transmittance of harmful UV rays—between 300 and 380 nm through the glass by 99%.
KeepSafe® break-in protection warranty
We will pay up to $1,000 of your homeowner’s insurance deductible if your home is broken into through a window or door made with KeepSafe or KeepSafe Maximum glass.
When to submit a claim
Was your residence burglarized, including property loss due to entry through the glass portion of the window or door? Did the burglar make a hole in the KeepSafe laminated glass window or door system glass through which they were able to gain entry?
If yes, click here to see how to make a claim.
If no, and for all other issues, please check with the window manufacturer for warranty information as this would not qualify for the break-in protection warranty.
