Head Up Display (HUD) is a technology which was originally developed for use in military aircraft. This technology has now been translated to the car industry and is becoming more widely used as designers need to get more information to the vehicle driver. Manufactures are finding that vehicle safety is enhanced if the driver can see important safety, navigation, and vehicle information projected directly on the windscreen of the car in front of his eyes rather than having to look away from the road.
The Saflex development team works in close collaboration with car designers and manufacturers of the HUD display unit to ensure that the interlayer configuration angle and position are designed to exactly match the HUD system requirements for a specific car model.
